The Division of Behavioral Pediatrics provides inpatient
and outpatient consultation services and directs a weekly Children's
Hospital behavioral clinic for children with behavioral disorders and ADHD.
Behavioral Pediatric evaluations are currently provided by Dr.
Robin Welsh, a child and adolescent psychiatrist on our
faculty, at Children's Hospital Outpatient Center. This
is an educational opportunity as well for medical, nursing,
and social work students, pediatric and family medicine
residents, and participants in our mini-fellowship program in
ADHD and other learning differences.The Dunbar Center
For Learning Success is a new program in the Department of
Behavioral Pediatrics dedicated to increasing awareness of
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Learning
Disorders to health care professionals, educators, and the
general public. The program is directed by Robin Welsh,
M.D., a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and it involves
multiple disciplines who are involved in the care of children
with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning
disorders and other behavioral disorders. In addition to
our resident and medical student training programs, we offer a
mini-fellowship program for the primary care physician who
wants additional expertise in ADHD and LD.
Attentional Disorders Pediatric Mini-Fellowship Program
Directed by Dr. Robin Welsh, Director of the Division of
Behavioral Pediatrics, and in conjunction with our Division of
Developmental Pediatrics, this 4 week post-graduate program is
designed to provide expertise to the clinician in attention
deficit/hyperactivity disorders. Emphasis is placed on
diagnosis, evaluation, and management strategies.
Flexible scheduling is available to accomodate practice
obligations. Educational stipends up to $4,000 are
