Through our close affiliation with Palmetto Health Children's Hospital, our graduate and postgraduate training programs offer a breadth of educational opportunities including medical student education, pediatric residency training, medicine/pediatrics residency training, postgraduate opportunities and continuing medical education. In keeping with the School of Medicine's mandate to produce primary care physicians for the state of South Carolina, annually over 60% of our medical students enter primary care residencies and, since 1980, 60% of our pediatric resident graduates have entered private practice.
